Johanna Vaksdal
Before joining Standout, I worked at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Stockholm and Sydney for five years. During my time at BCG, I mainly worked with Nordic and international consumer and retail companies with a variety of strategic topics. I also worked closely with BCG’s private equity practice area supporting professional investors on commercial topics. Having had the opportunity to work with leaders on their most pressing topics on a daily basis has strengthened my passion for entrepreneurship and to invest in the future.
One of my main reasons for joining Standout, is their clear focus on investing in fundamentally strong tech companies with a great potential to shape the future. What also inspires me is to be a part of the strong team that has built Standout to what it is today, and to join Standout’s exciting growth journey.
I am very happy to be part of the Standout Investment team and look forward to leveraging my previous experience to support our current portfolio companies, and to be part of new investment opportunities. In summary, I truly look forward to work with inspiring entrepreneurs and investing in the future.
Daniel Raber
Prior to joining Standout, I worked at Proventus Capital Partners in Stockholm. At Proventus, I was part of the investment team providing expansion capital to entrepreneurial-led businesses in Northern Europe. Investing in a wide range of sectors, I quickly found my passion to lie in the technology space and I had the opportunity to meet with and learn from many impressive founders and management teams in the Nordics. It was incredibly rewarding to see how our capital and partnership helped companies evolve and scale. This is one of the aspects that I enjoy most as an investor.
Prior to becoming an investor, I worked on the advisory side as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London where I focused on transactions in the consumer and retail space across the EMEA region.
As entrepreneurs and investors, the Standout team has vast experience in developing technology companies. For me, this combination was a crucial part in my decision to join the team. I believe that having been on “both sides of the table” in this regard is vital to becoming a valuable partner and understand how to best support the companies we invest in. As a member of the investment team, I get to combine my strong interest in developing companies with my interest in the technology space in a truly entrepreneurial setting and culture that characterizes Standout.
At Standout, I will use my combined experience in investing and corporate finance to support the development of our portfolio companies. I look forward to meeting with new entrepreneurs and I am excited to be part of Standout’s growth journey.
